Eurovision Services is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to become part of our Logistics Team on a temporary basis (9 months). The successful candidate will be part of the Operations division in Geneva, Switzerland.
ABOUT THE ES OPERATIONS TEAM
The Operations department serves as the central point of contact for all customers receiving operational services. The ES Operations Team is responsible for delivering high-quality broadcasting services, implementing reliable solutions to provide outstanding value in the transmission of top-tier sportive events around the globe.
Within the Operations Department, the Logistics team ensures the seamless delivery of broadcasting and connectivity equipment to onsite events worldwide, guaranteeing our technical teams have everything they need to deliver exceptional transmissions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION
Ensuring the Correct Delivery of Equipment
- Support ongoing and upcoming operations and deliveries.
- Manage equipment transfers between Eurovision Services warehouses and local Geneva/Vaud locations using the company van, also completing similar tasks outside these cantons when required.
- Coordinate with Engineers to define equipment needs and align with stakeholders.
- Act as the point of contact for warehouse-related questions regarding deals or events.
- Handle equipment planning and availability requests.
- Respond to needs related to cargo handling, warehouse management, and shipment preparation.
Keeping the Warehouse Organized
- Manage inventory planning and stock control in real time, using the Warehouse Management System and record equipment movements.
- Perform post-event inventories and return items to shelves or designated locations.
- Prepare reports related to warehouse activities, informing relevant departments.
- Prepare purchase orders and liaise with suppliers for warehouse equipment and accessories.
- Manage postal mail receipt, dispatch, administration, and internal distribution, preparing all necessary packaging and wrapping.
Supporting Team Development
- Assist in integrating new joiners, trainees, and apprentices, supporting their professional development.
Performing Additional Tasks as Required
- Perform additional tasks as required, including organizing materials, small repairs, furniture assembly or moving, fiber and cable maintenance, and warehouse/workplace cleaning.
YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 3+ years in a related warehouse or logistics position.
- Experience managing equipment shipping in broadcast or technology background is a plus.
- General knowledge in the electricity or connectivity field.
- General knowledge of logistics and warehouses’ workflows and regulations. Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and availability to perform different kinds of tasks.
- Proactivity and search for constant improvement in internal workflows and processes.
- Ability to work under pressure, with a sense of urgency. (mostly before events)
- Strong organization skills
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Driving license (permit B or C)
- Forklift driving license.
- Advanced level of English, written and spoken.
- Intermediate level of French, written and spoken.
