Legal Officer Collection Service 80 - 100%Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
The Collection Service Department acts as the legal service for tax collection. To strengthen our department, we are looking for a legal officer from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Drafting orders, objection and appeal decisions in tax collection matters
- Issuing security orders and conducting the corresponding attachment procedures
- Examining complex tax collection cases and filing related lawsuits
- Representing the Canton of Zurich in legal remedies and litigation procedures related to tax collection before all courts
- Providing binding advice to the municipal tax offices of the Canton of Zurich and the Cantonal Tax Office Zurich on legal matters of tax collection
- Active participation in projects
Your profile
- Completed law degree (MLaw or lic. iur.)
- Ideally professional experience at a court as well as good knowledge in the application of the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act (SchKG) and procedural law
- Independent, committed and team-oriented personality
- Professional appearance and a confident, precise oral and written expression
- Resilience, high service orientation and the ability to think analytically, goal-oriented and in a networked manner
