It encompasses teaching, research and services in the field of law. It has around 250 staff members and over 1,200 students.
At the Faculty of Law of the University of Basel, a position as a scientific assistant (60%) or as a student assistant (50%) in the Department of Private Law (Professorship Jung) is to be filled from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement.
Your Tasks
- Support of the chair holder in research and teaching, especially in the fields of corporate law, competition law and private international law
- General administrative tasks of the chair
- Writing a legal dissertation related to the above-mentioned research focuses
- Participation in teaching (2 semester hours per week)
Your Profile
- Very good degree at Bachelor level (student assistant) or Master level (assistant with willingness and admission to doctoral studies)
- Interest in Swiss business private law and its international relations
- Computer skills
- Experience abroad and foreign language skills are an advantage
