Gymnasium Neufeld is a state school of the Canton of Bern with around 1,850 students, 200 teachers and 60 staff members. The school sets clear and high standards for both teachers and learners and places great importance on comprehensive advice and support. It is divided according to specialisation subjects into a humanities and social sciences department, a mathematics and natural sciences department, and an economics and law department. The training in the fourth department, the Bern Maturity School for Adults, leads to a Matura qualification or the Passerelle examination. The fifth department, the cantonal specialised middle school, offers a three-year course with a cantonal specialised middle school or specialised Matura qualification.

Tasks
As part of a substitute position, you will take over teaching in the subject of French.
You inspire students for language and literature, design lively, clearly structured lessons and promote writing, reading and communication skills at a high level. You support the students individually, assess their performance responsibly and actively contribute your ideas to the department and school life.
Requirements
You are studying French in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and can imagine taking up the teaching profession. The substitute position is an ideal opportunity to gain first or further teaching experience. Of course, all candidates with a completed training as a secondary school teacher are also warmly welcome.
