Social Pedagogue / Work Educator AHA 2
The socio-pedagogical-psychiatric model ward SOMOSA offers an inpatient 6- to 12-month intensive treatment program for 14- to 18-year-old female and male adolescents who are in a severe adolescent crisis. The goal of the treatment is to stabilize the clients' personalities to the extent that they can cope with the existing supportive or replacement socialization systems upon discharge.
As a recognized listed hospital in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and as a youth home with a socio-pedagogical mandate, we fulfill both requirements through long-standing, intersystemic collaboration in the fields of social pedagogy, nursing, psychotherapy, and work education.
We are looking for a work educator or a social pedagogue HFS/FHS/Uni for the workshop AHA 2 (work-oriented education for female clients)
60 - 70% from 01.01.2026 or by arrangement
The workshop AHA (work-oriented education) is the first internal workplace for our clients. In the AHAs, we train them to maintain a structured daily routine and work consistency.
Our weekly program is varied. It includes sports, games, cooking, and occasionally excursions. This program serves as daily structuring and simultaneously prepares for work in the subsequent workshops of the SOMOSA model ward, where creativity, work consistency, and social skills are further promoted. Career orientation takes place there.
In everyday work, we support the clients in finding and carrying out their individual projects. The focus is on the process, not the work performance. We assess your personality, social behavior, and make initial evaluations of your abilities and professional interests as far as possible.
Your expertise, empathy, creativity, and commitment to promoting our clients come into play here. Without production pressure, you develop an individual work plan together with the clients. The goal is to enable them to experience daily successes through suitable tasks and clear structures – and to accompany them step by step on their path to greater independence and participation.
Thanks to your professional competence, you will implement the SOMOSA-specific therapeutic-pedagogical concept as a member of the treatment team together with your colleagues from psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, and socio-pedagogical fields.
As a team member, you gladly contribute to an organizational culture characterized by mutual learning as an innovative process, flexibility, openness and transparency, efficient work, and learning from mistakes.
Case and team supervisions support you as reflection and support tools for your demanding task. The employment conditions are progressive, based on the cantonal Zurich guidelines.
