Apprentice Specialist in Operational Maintenance with a focus on Workshop Services

Zumikon is a picturesque suburban municipality of the city of Zurich with around 5,700 inhabitants. The Department of Civil Engineering is offering a training position as a Specialist in Operational Maintenance EFZ, focusing on Workshop Services, starting in August 2026. As a team member in the workshop, you will be in service to our municipality daily, ensuring optimal maintenance of the infrastructure. The tasks are very diverse, and you will mostly work outdoors. During your three-year apprenticeship, you will also gain insight into the area of building services. Areas of responsibility:
- Cleaning, maintenance, and care of roads and footpaths
- Assistance with snow removal and ice control
- Maintenance of wastewater systems, green areas, and nature reserves as well as water supply
