Head of Department Vocational School 100%We are the leading centre of expertise for logistics and technology in vocational education. We are looking for a Head of Department Vocational School starting in the spring semester 2027 (1 March or by arrangement).
Your tasks
- Leading the Vocational School department
- Promoting and developing staff and teachers
- Ensuring the school operations
- Coordinating the individual subject areas
- Responsibility for the department's quality management
- Participation in school management
- Teaching at the vocational school
Your profile
Agile. Creative. Courageous. Innovative. Conscious. Competence-oriented.
- Professional/university degree or an equivalent qualification
- Diploma as a vocational school teacher (PHZH/EHB)
- Completed training or further education in school management, vocational education management, or a comparable field; if not yet completed, willingness to undertake this
- Integrative and cooperative personality with proven leadership experience
- Several years of professional and ideally leadership experience in a professional environment relevant to our professions (especially logistics, transport, recycling, or rail transport) and/or experience in vocational development or in organisations of the working world (OdA), as well as a sound understanding of company-based vocational education
- Strong ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with training companies and organisations of the working world and to consistently align training with the requirements of professional practice
- Several years of teaching experience at a vocational school
- Organisational talent as well as a structured, solution-oriented, and responsible working style
- Engaging personality with high social, communication, and presentation skills as well as pronounced team and conflict management skills
- Confident use of Microsoft 365 applications
- Enthusiasm for vocational education and lifelong learning

Workplace
The BZLT building in Dietikon is undergoing complete renovation, therefore the workplace will be at Lagerstrasse 55, directly behind the main station, in Zurich until July 2027.
