Job Description
Do you wish to contribute to the reintegration of detainees through creativity, self-expression and personal development? Are you passionate about art, human support and highlighting the resources of each individual?
As an art therapist (M/F) within Bois-Mermet prison, your mission will be to lead creative workshops tailored to detainees, offering them a space for expression, listening and reflection. Through various artistic practices, you will support them in exploring their emotions, strengthening self-esteem and developing their expressive and resilience capacities.
By joining our service, you will actively participate in the smooth running of Bois-Mermet prison and contribute to an appropriate and enriching care for detainees.

Responsibilities
Design and lead art therapy workshops adapted to the needs and abilities of detainees, encouraging self-expression through various artistic media.
Support participants in a caring creative process conducive to emotional expression, self-esteem development and strengthening personal resources.
Organise and supervise sessions ensuring compliance with safety rules, the use of provided materials, establishment instructions and collective living framework.
Observe participants' progress, adapt artistic media and workshop objectives according to their needs, abilities and development.
Manage, prepare and maintain the artistic materials necessary for workshops, in coordination with the establishment's technical teams.
Work in coordination with other stakeholders and establishment staff to ensure coherent and appropriate care.

Qualifications
Bachelor-level training relevant to the role.
Recognised diploma or certification in art therapy, or equivalent training in an artistic discipline complemented by a specialisation in art therapy.
At least 3 years of professional experience in leading or pedagogically supervising adult groups.
Fluency in spoken and written French; knowledge of other foreign languages is an asset.
Strong pedagogical skills to teach techniques progressively, accessibly and motivatingly.
Ability to work in a supervised environment and adapt to a specific audience.
Good communication and listening skills, with a caring and structured approach.
Our employment conditions require you to be Swiss or hold a C permit, free from bankruptcy proceedings (an extract from the debt enforcement register must be presented during the process), and have a clean criminal record. There is a right to consult the criminal record under the Federal Act on the Criminal Record by the hiring authority for this position.
