The PGS school unit comprises the three locations Pestalozzi, Göttibach and Seefeld in the city of Thun. Around 550 pupils learn with us – in 7 kindergarten classes, 20 primary classes and one introductory class – accompanied by about 70 teachers who pull together and support each other.

Tasks
• You are in the thick of it rather than just a bystander: In mixed-age classes of levels 3/4 and 5/6 you take on integrative support (IF/eU).
• Together with the involved specialists, you set the support goals – and accompany the children step by step on their way there.
• You work on an equal footing within the class team – your expertise is an integral part of everyday teaching.
• You maintain contact with parents and specialist agencies – ensuring that everyone pulls together.

Requirements
• A completed qualification in school-based special needs education – or you are currently in the middle of your studies.
• Do you come from a related field, e.g. social pedagogy? We also look forward to your application.
• Some experience in teaching or supporting children with special needs is a plus – but not essential.
• You are keen to be part of a team of special needs educators who support each other rather than just working alongside one another.
• Shared concerns within the staff are not a chore for you, but a matter of course.
