Job Description
Reporting to the supervisor, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly and engaging service
- Regularly propose new cocktails and actively participate in the dynamic development of Funky Claude’s Bar
- Creative and innovative, you are on the lookout for new trends to offer signature cocktails
- Serve customers in the dining area and help them discover the drinks menu and advise them on cocktails
- Welcome customers with warm service
- Contribute to creating a funky atmosphere at the Bar
- Participate in themed evenings and contribute to entertainment
- Know perfectly the drinks menu, cocktails and promotions
- Know perfectly all dishes on the menu, their garnish, content and preparation method
- Handle complaints arising from the bar and inform superiors who will follow up if necessary
- Ensure quality control of preparations served at the bar and those going to the dining area
- Participate in inventories and other stock or goods controls
- Share responsibility for cleaning Funky Claude's Bar (cleanliness, tidying, cellar returns, etc.)
- Assume the setup for the evening service
- Manage a cash float with responsibility and honesty
- Control daily stocks at opening and closing
- Prepare setups for any special event, promotion or speciality
- Know the concept of Funky Claude’s Bar and its history
- Learn the technical and emotional standards of LQA and put them into practice
- Commit to the quality of service both at the counter and in the dining area, discretion and perfect honesty
- Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling and remain calm at all times
- Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work in another department occasionally
- Be flexible regarding the assignment of positions at the bar and/or in the dining area, according to the organisation established by the superior
- Respect ergonomic work standards in health & safety rules, hygiene and sanitary prescriptions
- Respect the policies, procedures and service standards of the department and company
- Any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a 4* or 5* hotel
- At least 2 years’ experience as a bartender
- Qualification in service or bar recognised as an asset
- Excellent knowledge of classic cocktail preparation and creations
- Passionate about mixology
- Creative, innovative and on the lookout for new trends to offer bold and contemporary cocktails
- Extroverted, cheerful, sociable, helpful and available
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Fluency in French and excellent knowledge of English
- Knowledge of another foreign language an asset
- Knowledge of the Silverware system an asset
- Competitive spirit for sales
- Particularly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to focus on customer needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical requirements of the position:

VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
