The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) is a globally renowned institute in the field of global health with a special focus on low- and middle-income countries. Associated with the University of Basel, Swiss TPH combines research, teaching and services at local, national and international levels. Around 1,000 people from 96 countries work at Swiss TPH in areas such as infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases, environment, society and health, as well as health systems and programmes.
To support our new Head of Department Research, we are looking for an
Assistant to the Head of Research (80 – 100%)
starting 1 August 2026 or by arrangement.

In addition to providing administrative and organisational relief to the Head of Research (400 staff), you will coordinate central processes and help ensure that global health projects are advanced efficiently. The personnel management of the 7 assistants in the Research Admin Team complements this exciting role in our institute.
