What you can achieve with us

You will work in a residential group with children and adolescents aged between 5 and 18 years. You will care for visually impaired, blind and partly cognitively impaired children and adolescents, some of whom are on the autism spectrum and have behavioural difficulties. Together with a motivated team, you will accompany the children and adolescents at lunchtime and outside school hours in their daily lives. Your duties also include domestic and administrative tasks.

You are interested in engaging with child- and youth-specific topics and the impairments of the target group. You communicate appreciatively and clearly. Irregular working hours do not trouble you, and you can easily organise evening and on-call duties. You have empathy and a sense of humour. In addition, you are resilient and characterised by a strong sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team.  

We are the Foundation for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Adolescents Zollikofen - a private, politically and denominationally neutral organisation with a non-profit objective. Our task is to support and accompany people with special needs from birth to young adulthood.
We offer additional services to parents, teachers of public schools and special schools as well as to professionals. Our core competencies lie in the support and accompaniment of young people with visual impairment, blindness, multiple disabilities or from the autism spectrum.
