The Commercial-Industrial Vocational School GIBGL is the educational center of the Canton of Glarus. On the campus in Ziegelbrücke, around 1500 learners are trained in the areas of basic and tertiary vocational education, vocational baccalaureate, bridging programs, adult education, and integration.

We are looking for a

Commercial Clerk School Administration 60–70 %

for our school secretariat starting August 1, 2026, or by arrangement, with the workplace in Ziegelbrücke.

Tasks

• Organization and support of the secretariat in job sharing
• Assistance to the vocational baccalaureate school management
• Responsibility for student administration
• Preparation of educational statistics (BISTA)
• Billing of out-of-canton learners with the cantons
• Invoicing to learners as well as internal and external tenants
• Simple accounting and cash management
• Close cooperation with teachers, administrative staff, training companies, and departments of the cantonal departments
• Providing information on various school matters to learners, parents, GIBGL staff, and third parties

Requirements

• Commercial or equivalent education
• Very good German skills and confident written expression
• Proficient in the use of Office 365 products
• Solid user knowledge of Abacus and Escada is an advantage
• Initiative, reliability, and implementation strength
• Flexibility in working hours (school holidays)
• Enjoyment of working in a lively environment with young adults
• Interest in school-related topics
