What are we looking for? A dynamic and talented Optical Engineer Intern to join our Advanced Products & Technology Development Team. Your main mission will be to support testing and characterization of photonic and optical systems to enhance product performance and reliability.
During this internship you will:
- Execute measurement campaigns and experimental setups for optical component evaluation.
- Analyze and process experimental data using Python or similar tools.
- Assist in maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Contribute to simulations and data interpretation to correlate results with physical models.
- Document test results and communicate findings to the engineering team.
What do you need to be instrumental in this internship? MSc (or final year BSc) in Microengineering, Applied Physics, or Materials Science (with a focus or elective experience in optics or photonic systems). You are a technically curious and hands-on student who enjoys working in the lab, performing measurements, and supporting testing and characterization activities. A basic background in simulation and Python is expected to support simple analyses and contribute to test data handling. You are comfortable working with optical systems in a lab setting and interested in characterization, testing, and performance evaluation
Some experience with Python and basic simulation tools (optical or general) is required.
You are autonomous, proactive and team player. You have excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to details and the ability to synthetize. You have a very good command of French and English.
