Human Resources Advisor at the Department of Psychiatry
To complete its team, the Human Resources Directorate of the Department of Psychiatry (DP) is seeking a Human Resources Advisor at a workload of 80% to 100%, on a permanent contract. The starting date is scheduled for 1 January 2027.
As a key partner of the services and a trusted contact for employees, you ensure the operational HR management of a multidisciplinary population within your area of responsibility. You provide your expertise to employees and managers and support them in their daily activities.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Psychiatry consists of eleven services and about sixty units. It welcomes patients of all ages - children, adolescents, adults, and elderly people - suffering from mental disorders.
Mission
- You participate in the implementation of the CHUV human resources policy within the services of the Department of Psychiatry for which you are responsible
- You independently advise and support the managers of the services in your area in operational HR management, with a strong service orientation, and contribute to the promotion of HR services
- You organise, coordinate, and monitor HR processes related to operational management, particularly recruitment and absence management, in collaboration with the relevant lines and various institutional specialists
- You join a dynamic and close-knit team, composed of two HR assistants and five HR specialists, collaborate on the activities of the Human Resources Unit, and contribute to the development of the HR function.
Profile
- You hold a basic qualification supplemented by training in human resources, such as a federal specialist HR certificate or an equivalent title, and have several years of experience in human resources management in a role as HR advisor, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager
- You are an open professional, service-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills, quick comprehension ability, and great adaptability
- You possess strong communication, reflection, and analytical skills as well as a real capacity for initiative, enabling you to advise and support employees and managers facing daily challenges and the developments of a growing department
- You have an excellent level of oral and written expression in French, master common IT tools, and are comfortable with numbers as well as HR management tools, including indicators and dashboards.
