As part of the realignment of musculoskeletal surgery at Limmattal Hospital, the clinics for orthopedic surgery and the integrated traumatology in the surgical clinic were merged into a musculoskeletal center in 2024 (Orthopedics, Traumatology, Hand Surgery). The spectrum of the orthopedic clinic covers almost the entire field of orthopedics (excluding spinal and pediatric orthopedics). The focus is on minimally invasive endoprosthetics of the knee, hip, and shoulder joints, including revision/fracture prosthetics as well as sports orthopedics and ankle/foot surgery. Traumatology covers the entire range of conservative and surgical treatment of injuries to the support and locomotor system (excluding the spine) with particular emphasis on arthroscopic surgery, especially of the large joints, as well as the treatment of complex fractures.
- Conducting a personal consultation including treatment of patients from all insurance classes
- Independent conservative and surgical treatment of patients with a focus on knee and hip joints.
- Strengthening particularly the orthopedic specialty in our team and developing your orthopedic sub-discipline (preferably: sports orthopedics)
- Participation in the orthopedic-traumatological service operations of the higher management
- Engagement in clinic projects and administrative tasks of a higher management position
