The Social Counselling and Benefits Section of the Social Services Department is looking for a committed employee in the field of personal and material assistance from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement as
Your main tasks
You support the social workers administratively and independently take on tasks in case management, especially in the area of social insurance law
You are the contact person for people seeking help (social assistance and refugee counselling) at the counter, record concerns and triage them if necessary
Independent and template-based correspondence
Representation of the municipal branch office SVA
You actively participate in team meetings and exchange forums of social counselling
You support the team with administrative and organisational tasks and processes
What you bring
You have a commercial basic education, preferably with experience in the field of economic assistance and/or in social insurance. If you lack experience, you are highly motivated to familiarise yourself with this topic and acquire the subject matter.
You approach people in difficult life situations with respect, patience and empathy. Your communication skills help you to build trust and positive encounters.
You work independently, reliably and remain calm even in hectic moments.
Humour, motivation and team spirit characterise you.
You are open to the ongoing digitalisation process of Social Services and handle IT programmes confidently. Knowledge of the case management system KLIBnet is an advantage.
Your networked thinking and service-oriented attitude complete your profile.
