Schlieren is a dynamic, growing city in the Limmat Valley with around 20,000 inhabitants. As a reliable employer, the city of Schlieren offers a professional environment to deliver excellent performance.
With a differentiated range of care and support services at three different locations, the city enables around 80 elderly residents with varying care and support needs to live in a homely environment with professional services. Around 120 employees and trainees ensure the well-being of the elderly at the Sandbühl retirement center as well as in two different care apartments and in assisted living at Bachstrasse and Mühleacker.
To temporarily support our team, we are looking for an immediate or agreed upon start for a
Health Specialist EFZ 60 - 80% (temporary until February 2026)
Your main tasks
- Care and support of people with dementia within a committed team
- Taking over daily responsibility and coordinating the daily routine of the residents
- Carrying out key worker care, activation, and biography work
- Performing basic care as well as household tasks
- Contact person for relatives and external professionals (e.g., doctors)
- Contributing to an open atmosphere and participating in the implementation of practical standards and processes
- Empathetic and appreciative interaction with residents in line with our care philosophy
Your profile
- Completed training as a Health Specialist EFZ
- Professional experience in long-term care, ideally with a focus on dementia care
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
- Confident handling of IT applications (MS Office, EasyDoc, RAI-NH)
- High commitment, sense of responsibility, and empathy in dealing with people, especially residents with dementia
