For weekends and holidays
The Oberbaselbieter Waste Association (OBAV) is responsible for waste management in 13 municipalities in Oberbaselbiet and has been operating the regionalized animal carcass collection point for these municipalities in Gelterkinden since January 1, 2024. The municipal works staff of Gelterkinden is responsible for the operation of the collection point located on the Zeughaus site during weekdays.
For the operation of the animal carcass collection point in urgent exceptional situations during the day on weekends, holidays, and non-working days, the OBAV is looking for
Employees for On-Call Service
Area of Responsibility
- Acceptance of animal carcasses by telephone appointment during the day on weekends and holidays as well as on previously defined weekdays (ideally once a day)
- Digital recording of data and collection of fees (usually cashless)
Requirements
- German-speaking
- Reliable and proper execution of work
- Basic PC knowledge
- Friendly and helpful interaction with customers
- Implementation/application of legal and organizational regulations
- Physical resilience (lifting weights up to 25 kg)

- Independent work after instruction
- Compensation for on-call readiness and actual expenses for deployments
- Assignment of on-call readiness is done in advance and will be divided among several people (expected time commitment per person is approximately 20 – 30 deployment hours annually)
