The Merian Iselin Clinic is a leading private clinic in Basel specialising in the medical fields of orthopaedics, surgery and urology.

Your main tasks

• You will learn under expert guidance the management of medical devices, including instruments and apparatus for surgical procedures, diagnostic applications and general care
• You are responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of these medical devices
• You assemble medical devices according to standardised lists
• You take care of their sterilisation and packaging and carry out functional and cleanliness checks
• You operate various devices such as cleaning, disinfection equipment, autoclaves or sealing devices

Your training path

• 3-year full-time training with a federal vocational certificate (EFZ)
• Vocational school (Careum Education Centre) and inter-company courses (OdA Health) take place in Zurich
• Possibility to complete the vocational baccalaureate in parallel

You bring with you

• Interest in healthcare, eagerness to learn new things and take responsibility
• Team spirit as well as very good oral and written communication skills
• Completion of compulsory schooling at secondary school level E
• Manual dexterity, technical understanding and physical resilience
• Precise working method and high reliability
• Awareness of hygiene and no colour vision deficiency
