Traffic Project Manager
Technical Office | 60-100 % | Chur
The Technical Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of cantonal roads, as well as for the implementation of hydraulic works and non-motorized traffic in Graubünden. In addition, we take care of the operational maintenance of national roads within the cantonal territory. The road infrastructure of the canton includes over 1450 structures, including bridges up to 90 meters high and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton conceals in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. As a certified office with the Friendly Work Space label, we particularly care about the health and satisfaction of our approximately 480 employees. For this reason, we are committed to a systematic health management in the company (GSA).
For the Technical Services Section, we are looking for for November 1, 2025 or by agreement a traffic project manager
Responsibilities
- Involvement in traffic management in the canton of Graubünden in collaboration with the relevant offices of municipalities, canton, and confederation
- Independent development, implementation, and monitoring of short- and medium-term measures based on data to avoid bypass traffic and the formation of queues
- Specialist support within the framework of strategic signage projects and traffic management measures in case of major events
- Further development and implementation of the strategy concerning traffic counters
- Monitoring and ensuring deadlines, compliance with quality guidelines, costs, and the fulfillment of tasks by third parties
- Control and monitoring of implemented measures as well as preparation of reports and documentation
What we expect from you
- University degree or higher vocational education in the field of transport, civil engineering, spatial planning, or equivalent training
- Practical experience in various fields (transport planning, spatial, construction)
- Social skills as well as the ability to assert oneself and negotiation skills
- Analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills
- Communication skills and the ability to interact with various interest groups
- Knowledge of Italian and/or Romansh is desirable
