We are looking for a PCB Design Engineer to complement our team and make a decisive contribution to the development of innovative measuring instruments and automation solutions at Flowtec AG with precise printed circuit board layouts. As part of an interdisciplinary environment, you will support the successful implementation of our products from development to production. Flowtec AG in Reinach develops and produces high-quality flow measuring devices that are used worldwide in a wide range of process industries. We combine technological innovation with long-standing expertise and a sustainable corporate culture.
What is the role about?
Are you passionate about developing complex printed circuit board layouts for innovative electronic products? Would you like to work closely with development, production, and purchasing to bring high-quality solutions to series production? Are you keen to apply and further develop your expertise in an international technology environment?
In this role, you will shape the technical foundation of modern electronic assemblies and collaborate with various departments throughout the entire product lifecycle. The position is located within the Product Center organisation and offers you the opportunity to actively help shape electronic innovations.
What tasks will you take on?
You will:
- develop complex multilayer printed circuit board layouts based on existing circuit diagrams, taking into account manufacturing, testability, and EMC requirements
- prepare manufacturing data for PCB manufacturers and external EMS service providers for the production of electronic assemblies
- create and maintain components and libraries within the ECAD environment and ensure high data quality
- create material masters for components and printed circuit boards in SAP and maintain bills of materials and technical documentation via the interface to Zuken
- advise adjacent departments such as development, purchasing, production, and materials management on layout and component-related issues
- actively participate in cross-departmental projects and IT-related topics to further develop processes and systems
What do we expect from you?
You:
- have several years of experience in PCB layout and are confident working with Zuken CR-8000 or a comparable ECAD system
- have successfully completed training as an electronics technician or a comparable technical qualification, ideally supplemented by practical experience or further training
- bring sound knowledge of modern printed circuit board and manufacturing technologies
- have experience in creating and maintaining components, libraries, and bills of materials
- ideally know SAP and have experience with material masters and bills of materials
- work independently, in a structured and reliable manner, and coordinate different requirements purposefully
- communicate confidently in German and English and enjoy working with various departments
