The French Section of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lausanne is advertising a position for a lecturer and researcher (type 1) in Modern French Literature.
Additional Information
Start date: February 1, 2027
Contract duration: 6 years, renewable
Work rate: 80%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny
Your Activities
Teaching
You will be responsible for 6 hours of weekly teaching per year, mainly at the Bachelor (BA) level, as well as at the Master (MA) level, including supervising Master’s theses. This teaching will be in the fields of Literary History and Literary Works and Genres.
Research
The recruited person will develop their own research work in modern French literature. They will seek external funding, notably from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
Administrative Responsibilities
The recruited person will assume administrative tasks that may be assigned to them within the scope of their duties, at the unit, faculty, university, and university coordination bodies levels.
Your Profile
PhD in modern French literature or equivalent degree (thesis submitted at the time of appointment).
Several years of experience in university teaching in modern French literature.
Proven research and publications in the aforementioned field.
Openness to interdisciplinary research and teaching.
Good integration into international research networks.
Ability to attract external funding, notably from the SNSF or other foundations.
