Communication Officer
Technical Office | 60-80 % | Chur
The Technical Office is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of cantonal roads, as well as for the implementation of hydraulic works and non-motorized traffic in Graubünden. We also take care of the operational maintenance of national roads within the canton. The cantonal road infrastructure includes over 1450 structures, including bridges up to 90 meters high and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton presents in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. As an office certified with the Friendly Work Space label, the health and satisfaction of our approximately 480 employees are particularly important to us. For this reason, we are committed to systematic health management in the company (GSA).
We are looking for a motivated person to strengthen our team within the staff of the cantonal engineer from June 1, 2026 or by agreement. You will work closely with the communication manager. In this varied role, you will support the internal and external communication of the Technical Office both operationally and strategically.
- Editing: writing and revising texts for various publications (website, intranet, press releases, magazines)
- Web & digital: content and technical management of the website, intranet, and social media
- Layout: ensuring compliance with corporate design across all communication media of the Technical Office
- Communication: support in the communication of Technical Office projects
- Events: support in planning and conducting internal and external events
- Planning and strategy: support in developing and further developing a communication strategy
- Media activities: deputizing for the communication manager (coordination and written response to media inquiries)
- Basic vocational training (AFC) in the creative, media, or communication sector (e.g., media technology, graphics, interactive media design, printing technology)
- Specific professional development in editing, text, communication, public relations, or similar fields
- Ability to write and create content appropriate for the target group
- Ability to present complex technical or specialist content clearly
- Basic knowledge of strategic communication and public relations
- Precise, independent, and reliable working method
- Excellent communication skills (in German) both oral and written
- Familiarity with relevant Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Good computer skills (MS Office)
- The working language is generally German. Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
