What you can achieve
- Responsibility for the operational management of complex system environments as well as ensuring stable, available and maintainable operating platforms
- Ensuring development, test and production systems including networks, platforms and cloud infrastructures
- Automation of operational and deployment processes as well as development and maintenance of scripts for applications and system environments
- Implementation and further development of Infrastructure as Code as well as support of modern container and platform solutions
- Responsibility for patch, release and change management as well as coordinated implementation of operational changes
- Monitoring availability, performance, recoverability and resource consumption of the systems
- Participation in monitoring, logging and troubleshooting as well as continuous optimisation of operational processes
- Maintenance and further development of system technical documentation
What you bring with you
- Degree in computer science or apprenticeship as an IT specialist EFZ or technically skilled career changer with appropriate further training and professional experience
- Extensive experience in the operational management of complex system landscapes and in the technical support of platforms
- Very good knowledge in automation, scripting and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with container and virtualisation technologies as well as ideally with Docker, Kubernetes, VMware and Nutanix
- Understanding of modern operational processes as well as release, change and deployment procedures
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructures as well as monitoring and logging solutions such as Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana is an advantage
- Analytical, independent and proactive working style with a high solution orientation
- Fluent German; English and/or French skills are an advantage
- Military career as a senior non-commissioned officer or officer is an advantage
