The opportunity
Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. Our unit Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), based in Zuerich-Oerlikon, is active in the development and production of gas insulated switching systems. We ensure the high reliability of our systems by using state-of-the-art development tools and methods.

How you’ll make an impact

Processing of orders (including deviations / complaints / invoicing)

Obtaining the order confirmation from the supplier

SAP master data maintenance including timely adjustments to orders in SAP MM and evaluations of delivery performance

Continuous improvement of supplier performance in terms of costs, quality and delivery times

Further development and optimization of purchasing processes in cooperation with strategic purchasing (LEAN Office, digitalization & automation of processes, etc.)

Processing of quality cases (notices of defects)

Interface between production, sales, development, suppliers and quality management

Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to implement process improvements
Your background
-
Commercial or technical training, ideally supplemented by further training in the field of purchasing or logistics

First experience in operational purchasing or in a comparable position

Good knowledge of MS-Office and SAP

Experience in the industrial sector, preferably in the MEM sector

Good English skills required, German language skills are an advantage
