Receptionist at the pre-hospitalisation centre at 50%
The Pre-Hospitalisation Centre of the Department of Surgery is looking for a receptionist at a 50% activity rate. The starting date is scheduled for 1 August 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Surgical Pre-Hospitalisation Centre (CPC) as well as specific pre-hospitalisation consultations (such as in gynaecology) organise the patient’s arrival. Patient follow-up is carried out notably with the anaesthesiology teams.
Mission
- You ensure the reception of patients and their relatives as well as visitors and collaborators, respecting the CHUV directives and principles
- You carry out the administrative management of outpatients, in accordance with the procedures and directives defined by the Patient Administrative Management service (GAP)
- You ensure liaison between the various desk stakeholders as well as with other services of the institution.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification.
- A specific training in reception is a real asset
- You have at least 2 years’ experience in a reception role, ideally in a hospital environment
- You master office IT tools; knowledge of CHUV tools is an asset
- You have an excellent command of French, both spoken and written
- Knowledge of a foreign language (English, German or Italian) is an asset
- You demonstrate a strong team spirit and a keen sense of service
- You stand out for your adaptability, open-mindedness, flexibility and stress resistance
- You are recognised for your sense of responsibility, great precision, reliability and discretion.
