Database Architect - Backbone Systems (m/f/d)

In this role, you define and further develop our data architecture. You design the central "backbone systems" that drive our company, while enabling modular "extension apps" connected via the GoPaaS platform. This role combines structure and creativity – ensuring that our data foundation is both stable and flexible for future growth.

Your tasks

• Design and maintenance of scalable, normalized data models for central business objects

• Definition of integration patterns between backbone systems and GoPaaS apps

• Establishment of data standards, naming conventions, and documentation guidelines

• Management of schema versioning, migration strategies, and impact analyses

• Close collaboration with GoPaaS developers to align data models and integration logic

• Management of metadata definitions and entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs)

• Support in query optimization and improving database performance

Your profile

• A completed degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (university or university of applied sciences)

• You have a practical mindset and the drive to make things better, faster, and more efficient

• Your language skills: Business-level English, German and/or French advantageous

• Work flexibly from home or at one of our locations in Zurich, Buchs AG, or Préverenges VD
