As a Client Engineer, you play a central role in digital nationwide out-of-home advertising and at all APG|SGA workplaces. In the Digital Playout area, you ensure that advertising and information reliably appear on displays at train stations, airports, in buses, trams, and trains throughout Switzerland. In the Workplaces area, you ensure a homogeneous, modern, and lean client architecture that serves thousands of customers daily with hundreds of employees. Your work is crucial for the operation and further development of the digital advertising platforms seen daily by millions of people.

Your tasks

• You support and further develop the Digital Playout Clients – mainly based on Windows and Windows Embedded. Clients with Linux are also included but are significantly fewer
• In addition, you support and develop the Workplace Clients based on Windows 11 for the entire company in close collaboration with specialized service providers
• You ensure that the deployed player hardware is compatible with operating systems and drivers
• You develop and maintain batch & Powershell scripts to automate and make processes more efficient
• You assist with network integration and work closely with other areas such as infrastructure and service desk 
• You monitor the deployed clients and hardware, analyze errors, and document the system landscape

You bring with you

• Very good knowledge of Windows operating systems as well as experience with images, services, and system optimization
• Practical experience with player hardware, processors, and driver compatibility
• Experience in batch and PowerShell scripting to automate processes
• Basic knowledge of network technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP)
• Basic Linux knowledge is a plus, as well as good English skills to navigate confidently in a technical environment
