About the job
GIS Intern (80-100%)
Fixed-term for 1 year, starting immediately or by arrangement
Your role with us
- Further development of our internal GIS platform (Hexagon M.App Enterprise & MassTransit, PostgreSQL/PostGIS geodatabase, QGIS, FME) – for a modern and sustainable data foundation
- Processing and management of geodata for the BVB network infrastructure as well as other specialist topics (collection, recording, updating, quality assurance, migration and evaluation)
- Provision of geobase data and creation of thematic maps (e.g. network plans, switch plans, plant condition plans) that pave the way for green mobility
- Cross-departmental collaboration and technical consulting – together we develop solutions that combine efficiency and sustainability
- Preparation of relevant key figures for management and department heads as well as project managers, including ensuring data exchange with external partners
What convinces us
- Completed training in geomatics, geoinformatics, geography or a comparable field
- Practical professional experience in handling GIS and geodata
- Solid knowledge of GIS, SQL and evaluation methods; experience with Hexagon products, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, FME and Autodesk-CAD is an advantage
- Independent, solution-oriented and resilient personality with team spirit and interest in sustainable projects
- Networked thinking, structured working method and organisational skills
