About the job
The Center for Social Affairs is one of the largest associations of its kind in Switzerland. On behalf of 28 municipalities with a catchment area of over 100,000 people, we are actively engaged, low-threshold, and networked in the following areas: Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB), professional guardianship, social counseling, mother and father counseling, addiction counseling, and school social work.
School Social Worker School Buttisholz
The school social work department of the Center for Social Affairs (Zenso) currently includes a team of nine professionals (including team leadership) who work at a total of ten schools in our member municipalities. The SSA team of Zenso maintains regular professional exchanges (team meetings, intervision, joint training) and is well networked both regionally and cantonally. The internal interfaces with other specialist areas of Zenso are actively maintained (e.g., with KESB, professional guardianship, or social counseling).
The current workload is 15%. An increase to up to 30% is possible in the medium term, depending on the deployment opportunities as a school social worker in our member municipalities.
Your tasks
Within the framework of school social work, children and adolescents, their families, as well as teaching and care staff are accompanied and advised. The focus is on prevention and early detection, counseling, and intervention.
- First point of contact for students, guardians, and teachers on psychosocial issues
- Strengthening students to support them in their challenges and the development of their skills
- Solution-oriented systemic counseling of individuals, groups, or entire classes
- Recognition and assessment of risk situations
- Promotion of a positive and supportive school culture through preventive offers
- Coordination and networking with specialist agencies to provide effective support
What you bring
- A completed degree in social work or social pedagogy (tertiary level)
- Further training in systemic solution-oriented counseling, school social work desired or willingness to further train in this direction
- Professional experience in working with children, adolescents, and families
- Resilience, personal responsibility, and good self-management
- Teamwork skills and good communication skills
- Mobility: Driver's license category B and vehicle as needed required
- Good IT skills (Office, possibly CASEnet)
