Motion Designer - Videographer within the Communication Department
The Communication Department of the CHUV is looking for a Motion Designer - Videographer, with a workload between 80% and 100%, to strengthen its creative team.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Creative Unit of the CHUV Communication Department provides advice, design, and production of innovative audiovisual and multimedia content in support of the institution's communication, teaching, and research missions.
Mission
Within a multidisciplinary creative team, you design and produce high-value audiovisual content intended for diverse audiences, both internal and external. You help make sometimes complex topics accessible and attractive by using video and motion design to support the communication of one of the country's main university hospitals.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
- Imagine and develop creative concepts adapted to different communication channels, with particular attention to social networks and emerging digital formats
- Design and produce motion design animations for institutional or educational videos
- Participate in all stages of audiovisual production: scripting, filming, editing, graphic design, and distribution
- Take full responsibility for certain video projects, from needs analysis to final delivery
- Identify emerging trends, new formats, and topics with high dissemination potential
- Ensure the artistic, narrative, and technical quality of productions
- Collaborate with communication specialists, healthcare professionals, researchers, and educators at CHUV
- Participate in projects related to various fields linked to health, education, and research
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes, technical tools, and collaboration methods within the team
Demonstrate flexibility in work organisation and ensure, when necessary, presence in the evening and/or at weekends as part of the department's missions.
Profile
- You hold a university degree from an Art School or an equivalent qualification
- You have experience in scientific popularisation, health, education, or institutional communication.
This position is aimed at a person with the following key skills:
- You are passionate about visual creation, communication, and digital media
- Motion design is your main area of expertise and you have a strong portfolio demonstrating your creativity and technical mastery
- You possess solid video production skills (filming and editing)
- You are naturally curious and creative, have a good general knowledge and a great capacity to adapt
- You demonstrate rigour, autonomy, and excellent organisational skills
- You appreciate exchanges with demanding interlocutors and quickly understand their needs
- You are able to transform complex content into clear, engaging, and accessible visual stories
- You have excellent analytical, synthesis, and responsiveness skills
- You know how to work both independently and as part of a team
- You are comfortable with medical image representation and hospital environments
- You have perfect command of French, both spoken and written
- You master the Apple environment as well as the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or DaVinci Resolve
- You learn new tools quickly and are comfortable with technological developments, notably AI-assisted creation tools.
