Planning secretary at the Paediatric Day Hospital
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) is recruiting a secretary for the scheduling of examinations at the Paediatric Day Hospital, at an 80% activity rate, with a planned start date of 1 July 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
Within the Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME), the Paediatrics Service offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children aged 0 to 18 years. It maintains close links with other department services such as neonatology, paediatric surgery, adolescent medicine as well as gynaecology and obstetrics.
Mission
- You schedule medical examinations in collaboration with the medical programme manager, taking into account constraints and needs
- You book examination beds
- You prepare and distribute the weekly programme of the Day Hospital
- You manage the flow of medical requests
- You ensure communication with partners and families (appointments, information)
- You handle the administrative management of patient files
- You provide administrative support for the smooth running of the unit
- You actively contribute to the quality and improvement of the unit’s services.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification, complemented by medical secretary training
- You master medical terminology and are comfortable with IT tools (notably MEDIN, Ultragenda, Soarian)
- You have experience in scheduling medical examinations, which is an asset
- You are flexible, empathetic, discreet and autonomous, with a good sense of initiative
- You have a sense of responsibility and collaboration, and know how to integrate into a multidisciplinary team
- You have good knowledge of English (level B2), an advantage.
