Company Description
The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation (FASe) is a partner institution, funded by the Canton and the municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva. Through socio-educational, sociocultural and grassroots associative actions carried out by its centres and outreach teams, FASe meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship and quality of life.
A position is open for a sociocultural facilitator with a mandate to coordinate a cantonal youth evenings project at 70–90%.
Job Description
Within the framework of an innovative project led by FASe in partnership with several municipalities in the canton, the post holder is responsible for designing, co-constructing with young people and implementing a programme of supervised festive evenings aimed at 16–20 year olds (format in two parts: cultural part + festive part, 8pm–midnight, 3 to 4 editions per month in at least 4 municipalities).
Main responsibilities include:
- Developing and refining the event concept by integrating festive, cultural and preventive dimensions
- Co-constructing each edition with local associations, collectives and youth groups
- Coordinating institutional, municipal, technical and artistic partners
- Ensuring the operational logistics of each evening (unusual venues, security, artists, catering)
- Contributing to the development of the cantonal brand identity in connection with the mandated agency
- Managing budgets per edition and monitoring grant applications
- Evaluating the social, psychosocial and mental health impact on young people
The coordinator works closely with FASe teams in the municipalities and under the supervision of the Secretary General.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work (HETS) or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sociocultural facilitation, ideally in a youth environment
- Proven experience in coordinating event projects
- Knowledge of the Geneva social, artistic and cultural network
- Sensitivity to mental health, gender and inclusion issues
- Proficiency in digital communication tools (social networks, Canva or equivalent)
- Personal interest in contemporary music and youth culture
Additional Information
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 15
- Activity rate: 70% to 90% (to be defined according to profile and needs)
- Hours: Flexible, including evenings and weekends
- Workplace: Itinerant within the canton of Geneva — geographical mobility required
- Start date: As soon as possible — operational for autumn 2026
