To reinforce our technical documentation in the Business Group After Sales, we are looking for a committed person as

Head Technical Documentation (f/m)

In this global management position, you will be responsible for managing and developing the global Technical Documentation function located in five different locations. You will have the following challenging responsibilities:

Your Tasks

  • Developing the Technical Documentation function in line with Rieter’s vision and strategy, as well as ensuring that budget targets are met
  • Develop departmental strategies in collaboration with global team members and stakeholders
  • Ensure a state of the art processes and tool landscape for best in class documentation to be published on various modern communication media
  • Global resource planning while leading and continuous developing the global teams
  • Customer satisfaction by ensuring availability of all required customer specific documentation on time and in the required quality, based on Rieter’s development and production schedules
  • Foster an effective working relationship with all stakeholders, such as Development, Field Service, Operations, Digital Solutions, After Sales, etc.
  • Ensure effective language services, including translation management, terminology, use of simplified technical English, etc.
  • Ensure that documentation complies with all local laws and machinery regulations

Your Profile

  • Proven track record in leading the technical documentation function, preferably in a machine building environment
  • A technical degree with further qualification in business administration
  • Solid understanding of state of the art content management and publication systems
  • Experience with and enthusiasm for working in an international environment and intercultural teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and approach
  • Excellent written and spoken English (German would be advantageous)
  • Willingness to travel: approximately 10 – 20%
