The Global DE&C Service Delivery Lead will have a crucial role in ensuring adherence to the DE&C program. This position involves overseeing a team of DE&C specialists who offer guidance, training, and shared services to the DE&C team.
This support enables efficiency in addressing business requests and needs, particularly in areas related to the Data Privacy program, such as creating Privacy Impact Assessments and responding to data subject requests (DSR).
Furthermore, this individual will collaborate with the cyber team regarding incident response, external requests, Privacy Officers, customers, and vendors on DE&C-related matters.
Reporting to the Chief Digital Ethics & Compliance Officer (CDECO), this role holds significant responsibility in maintaining compliance and ethical standards within the organization.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Program and Approach
• Develop and implement the company's approach for a shared DE&C capability.
• Define the respective measures to ensure efficiency in delivering the DE&C capability.
Team Management
• Manage and supervise the shared DE&C services team.
• Conduct hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations for team members.
Expert Advice and Education
• Anticipate internal and external business challenges and regulatory issues, providing expert advice and direction to business units on DE&C compliance, risk assessment, and related services.
• Educate stakeholders on available DE&C services.
Compliance and Monitoring
• Monitor and report on the company's DE&C compliance status and performance indicators.
• Coordinate and facilitate DE&C audits, assessments, and certifications.
Inquiries and Complaints
• Handle and respond to DE&C-related inquiries, complaints, and data subject rights requests.
• Ensure timely resolution of issues and maintain records of responses.
Stakeholder Relationship
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Develop talents within teams for embedding in DE&C by design teams and business units.
Leadership
• Act as a member of the DE&C leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making.
• Represent DE&C interests in cross-functional collaboration and lead project teams to achieve DE&C objectives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in law, technology, business, or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in DE&C compliance, Data Privacy, IT compliance, IT audit, Data Governance, or Technology service management is necessary.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse and remote team, are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly, are a must.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk mitigation, are required.
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information, is expected.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion challenges and opportunities, is advantageous.
• Certification in Data Privacy-related areas, ITIL service delivery, is preferred.
