The job is carried out from the headquarters of GEA APC Utilities Benelux, Global & Marine in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. You report to the Manager Mechanical Engineer and work in a team of refrigeration design engineers and refrigeration CAD engineers. The projects are executed in a team where international cooperation is part of the job. You work on project orientated solutions and make use of both internal as external suppliers.

Responsibilities:

Manage, develop and innovate (default) refrigeration calculation tools, P&ID building blocks and processes;

Design according applicable GEA standards and/or customer specifications, in accordance with international and/or local regulations and directives;

Keep track of and stay within project planning calculated budget and engineering hours;

Provide technical support and solutions to GEA offices abroad;

Test the design by means of a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) with both GEA commissioning engineer and if applicable, the end customer;

Take care and/or support the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) in accordance with the site supervisor and commissioning engineer.

Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical or process engineering;

Knowledge of design and operation of industrial refrigeration and heat pumps;

Five years’ experience in industrial refrigeration is preferred;

Knowledge of:

Safety instructions at refrigeration plants;

CAD systems (Autodesk Plant & Plant 3D)

Supporting tools (MS Office, in particular Excel and Access).
