This role functions as a business partner within the BU to control and improve operational performance. Working within the BU Sheet Fed Supply Production & Logistics, the role will be a key in driving improved performance within Purchasing focusing Direct and lndirect Material and services purchases across allglobal sites.

The position also has direct oversight of BU's Purchasing Management Systems to monitor Direct / lndirect Material spend and price variances. The key drivers to the Direct Material spend being Raw Material input via commodities, negotiated cost savings, technical changes, inbound transport costs etc.

Group Purchasing Controller

  • Responsible for monitoring annual purchasing initiatives, including follow up and analysing Purchasing KPI's
  • Ensure sound business judgement is used when changing sourcing ie moving suppliers and/or geographical supply
  • Support the BU SPL Controller to drive process improvement for financial reporting transparency and forecast accuracy. Monitor metrics to track performance vs. target.
  • Support the BU SPL Controller in establishing transparent reporting of Direct Material input to the Management P&L.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasting and reporting. Develop and present Purchasing financial results and recommendations to BU management. Assist management in understanding performance trends a nd operational strategies.
  • 7 or more years of operational finance experience within an international company
  • Progressive experience in Accounting/Finance/Controlling to include in cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Extensive experience leading business decisions and initiatives both within Finance and cross functionally
  • Strong presence with effective influencing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to interpret/present findings, and make recommendations
  • Ability to influence decision makers through financial analyses and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Effective leadership skills, including the ability to build and influence professional relationships throughout the facility, regardless of level
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office software applications and ERP systems)
  • Master's degree in Finance or lndustrial Engineering
  • Fluency in English, advanced level in French
