Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

If you're an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong leadership and process improvement skills, adept in general ledger management, VAT reporting, audit support, team leadership, and ERP system expertise - this could be the role for you:

Here's what you'll do:

• Manage the general ledger, including cash accounting and oversee fixed asset accounting (Anlagebuchhaltung)
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including the dunning process
• Ensure accurate billing activities and proper revenue recognition
• Standardize and automate billing processes
• Manage accounting for Swiss entities and VAT reporting
• Perform monthly closing activities for Swiss entities, including accruals and adjustments
• Provide support or management for audit engagements
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring balance sheet and profit/loss accounts are current
• Assist with tax audits and preparation of tax returns
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls
• Manage international expense management, including related software tools
• Act as a Super User for the Finance ERP system
• Identify areas for improvement and lead improvement initiatives
• Lead a team of at least two people and make subject matter decisions
• Break down goals and OKRs into tasks and ensure their implementation

This is what you'll need:

• Must possess strong finance skills, analytical ability, and solid business acumen 
• Extensive relevant experience in Finance and Accounting with experience in with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process  
• Several years Team leadership experience
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (Finance ERP) (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365,…)
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Swiss GAAP and IFRS)
• High standard of confidentiality 
• Knowledge of IT systems (in-house, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  
• Is capable of and highly experienced in implementing changes end-to-end with all stakeholders
• Has a relevant certification in accounting (e.g. “Federal Certificate of Competence in Accounting”) 
• Discreet and trustworthy personality 
• Apprenticeship / commercial training in finance & accounting  or similar
• Languages: German, English
