Global chemical and environmental regulations impact all stages of a product's lifecycle; from development to manufacturing, to use and disposal. Pharma Technical Operations is bringing together existing competencies, as well as new resources, to strengthen our compliance with Chemical & Environmental requirements.
This position is in a newly created team in Pharma owning data & insights capabilities related to environmental product regulations. The internship candidate will be part of the new team and support the EHS data management processes for the Pharma Division.
Key Responsibilities/Tasks
Spearhead and/or participate in workstream or project initiatives related to data management
Support workshops / team break-out sessions
Collect data from various sources and format them into meaningful insights
Create and manage data repositories / communication channels
Support in the design of global processes and procedures
Qualifications
The candidate ideally has a scientific background in the area of biology, chemistry or equivalent. Due to the nature of the data & insights team in environmental regulations, IT and data science education and skills are highly appreciated.
Education
Pursuing a degree in Life Science/ Business/ Computer Science/ Informatics / Mathematics/ Liberal Arts / or related fields
Experience
Proficiency with Office tools and other collaboration / productivity tools
Willingness to deep dive into digital and data topics
Analytics & reporting and data affinity
Cross-cultural experience, a plus
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Ability to work with a global team, collaborate with scientists, engineers, business analysts and consultants from different cultures and locations
Proactive, inquisitive, and good communication skills
Ability to intake and synthesize information
Use quantitative and qualitative approaches to solve business problems
Exhibit a passion for high quality and strive for continuous improvement
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Agile fundamentals a plus
