The Laboratory of Integrated Comfort Engineering (ICE) at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)is seeking a highly motivated and talented Ph.D. candidate to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of personalized human thermoregulation modeling. The primary objective of this Ph.D. position is to advance the field of human thermoregulation modeling through the lens of personalization. The project will specifically concentrate on enhancing existing common thermoregulation models (e.g., JOS-3) by integrating a robust data-driven approach. By tailoring these models to individual physiological responses, we aim to achieve a nuanced understanding of how unique factors influence human thermoregulation in various environments. The position is fully funded for 4 years.
