Our client is an independent wealth and asset management company that has been offering individual investment solutions for institutional investors founded on long-term partnerships for more than 15 years. Most of the current client relationships date back to the company's foundation. Headquartered in Zurich, the company manages a broadly diversified portfolio of investment funds. The company develops specific asset class as well as cross-asset class solutions.

Our client operates in a highly competitive and regulated environment. The client segments and target markets are distinguished by a high degree of organisational professionalism. It is supervised in Switzerland by FINMA (Financial Market Supervisory Authority). In order to grow the healthcare investment team, our client is looking for a "Senior Equity Analyst - Healthcare".

Description

  • Propose strong investment recommendations, following the fund management processes mainly for a new healthcare impact fund but also for all other healthcare products
  • Monitor the stocks under coverage and effectively communicate relevant news flow and their potential effect to valuation or to the investment case
  • Prepare impact and engagement reports together with the sustainability/impact team
  • Contribute to launch preparations for the impact fund (marketing and distribution, operational set-up, asset-flows, etc.)
  • Contribute to shape marketing and distribution activities for the impact fund
  • Prepare reports and performance presentations for the impact fund
  • Participate in industry and broker conferences and road-shows. Actively engage with management teams of companies within the universe

Profile

Candidate Profile Requirements:

  • 3+ years' of work experience in healthcare equity research, ideally on the buy-side
  • Ideally master's degree in Biology or related area
  • Strong equity valuation expertise (CFA or equivalent is a plus)
  • Experience in sustainable/impact investing would be advantageous
  • Affinity to investing, ideally portfolio management expertise
  • Travelling required
  • Fluent English
