Orange Business Switzerland is looking for an experienced AI Engineer / Architect Consultant to join our growing AI team! Do you enjoy building ML pipelines and models one week, then facilitating a strategic AI workshop the next? Then we'd love to meet you!

As an AI Engineer / Architect Consultant at Orange Business, you'll work across a diverse range of engagements - from designing and deploying computer vision systems and GenAI solutions to advising C-level stakeholders on AI strategy, governance, and roadmaps. You'll operate as the technical backbone of client engagements while also contributing to use case identification, architecture recommendations, and strategic planning.

You'll be part of a growing AI team alongside data engineers and analysts, focused on delivering real impact for leading Swiss and European clients. The team combines expertise in data science, ML engineering, AI architecture, and consulting to tackle both technical builds and advisory mandates. Your key areas of responsibility as AI Engineer / Architect Consultant :

• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI solutions - from model selection and prototyping to production-grade pipelines - on cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP (Vertex AI), or Databricks

• Co-facilitate AI discovery workshops and ideation sessions with client teams, translating business challenges into actionable AI use cases and architecture recommendations;

• Advise clients on AI architecture decisions, model selection, MLOps best practices, and platform choices, adapting recommendations to their technical maturity and constraints;

• Develop and integrate GenAI solutions including RAG architectures, LLM-based agents, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows using tools such as LangChain, Azure AI Foundry, or Databricks Model Serving;

• Contribute to AI strategy and governance engagements by supporting use case scoring, roadmap design, and the definition of AI governance foundations alongside the AI Lead;Build and maintain scalable ML pipelines, leveraging frameworks such as MLflow, Delta Lake, Vertex AI Pipelines, or equivalent, with attention to model versioning, monitoring, and CI/CD;

• Produce clear technical documentation and client-facing deliverables (architecture diagrams, technical proposals, use case fiches) and present them confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences.

As an ideal candidate you have:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, or another technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or AI architecture roles, with a proven track record of delivering end-to-end AI projects.

• Strong experience with at least one major cloud AI platform: Azure (Azure ML, AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI), GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery), or Databricks.

• Solid knowledge of machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, or XGBoost, with practical experience in areas such as computer vision, NLP, or time series.

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM integration, including RAG architectures, agent frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel), prompt engineering, and model serving.

• Strong Python skills, with experience developing production-ready ML pipelines and working with SQL for data manipulation.

• Familiarity with MLOps best practices: model registry, experiment tracking, CI/CD for ML workflows, monitoring, and drift detection.

• Demonstrated consulting or client-facing experience: you are comfortable running workshops, challenging assumptions, and explaining complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with AI governance and strategy topics (use case prioritization, responsible AI, regulatory awareness) is a strong plus.

• Experience with tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Docker, or Kubernetes.

• Excellent communication skills in French and English. German is a plus.
