Valet / Housekeeper, high-profile private family

We have been exclusively retained to recruit a Valet /Housekeeper for a high-profile private family based in the La Côte region (Lake Geneva area ), C anton of Vaud, Switzerland.

This is a long-term opportunity with an indefinite contract (100%), offering stability and continuity within a well-established household.

As Valet/Housekeeper, you will report directly to the Household Manager who has been with the family for many years. The current postholder is retiring after long service, and a smooth and structured handover is planned. The role includes direct contact with the Principals.

The position is available immediately; however, notice periods will be fully respected as the client is committed to finding the right candidate for the long-term.

Key responsibilities include:

• Luggage Management: Packing and unpacking for the Principals; preparing residences prior to arrivals.
• Wardrobe Management, Laundry & Garment care: Daily care of clothing, shoes, accessories, and seasonal wardrobes; coordination with dry-cleaning services. Maintain the laundry’s room provisioning and ensure household supplies are well-stocked.
• Personal Items: Organization and replenishment of the Principals’ personal products and cosmetics.
• Housekeeping: High-standard housekeeping duties (approx. 30% of the role), ensuring immaculate presentation of selected areas.
• Travel Support: Accompanying the family to various European destinations (maximum one week at a time); Flexibility to relocate to the family’s mountain residence in Switzerland during winter (maximum three months; accommodation provided and possibility to return home on days off). Accommodation provided during all travel assignments.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience as Valet, (Senior) Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor, “Gouvernante de Maison” or “Gouvernante d’Etage “ or similar within UHNWI / high profile private households or luxury hotels.
• Good command of English (additional languages such as French are an advantage).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Legal right to live and work in Switzerland and/or Europe.
• Currently based in Switzerland or Continental Europe ( due to face-to-face interviews).
• High level of discretion, reliability, strong communication skills, and service excellence.
