As an Automation Engineer specializing in software and commissioning, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of automation systems, from development and optimization to deployment and support. You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and customer needs, ensuring reliable performance of high-end assembly lines.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as a key technical contact for clients, providing remote and on-site support
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing automation systems through software upgrades
- Participate in the commissioning and fine-tuning of new machinery
- Design and implement automation solutions, adapting to project-specific challenges
- Contribute to data-driven production optimization and Industry 4.0 initiatives
Technical Skills
- Degree in Industrial IT, Automation Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient in object-oriented programming (e.g. C++) and SQL Server
- - OR - Experienced in PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or similar)
- Good command of automation technologies (motion control, fieldbus systems, safety protocols, TCP/IP)
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electrotechnical systems (a plus)
- Interest or experience in data analysis and digital manufacturing (a plus)
- Fluent in French; good English skills required (B2)
