Manager Spray Drying unit - API Production - Permanent position
Mission :
Production Oversight
- Lead daily spray drying operations to ensure product quality, yield, and efficiency.
- Monitor key process parameters (inlet/outlet temperatures, feed rates, moisture levels).
- Ensure adherence to production schedules.
Quality Control
- Verify compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for sampling, testing, and adjustments.
- Implement corrective actions in case of deviations.
Team Supervision
- Lead and train operators, ensuring safe and effective performance.
- Schedule shifts and allocate workforce efficiently.
- Foster teamwork and continuous improvement.
Equipment Maintenance
- Oversee level first preventive maintenance and cleaning of spray dryer and auxiliary equipment.
- Report breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs.
- Keep accurate equipment logs.
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and hygiene standards in the drying area.
- Conduct safety briefings and incident investigations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Process Optimization
- Analyze data to improve process performance and energy efficiency.
- Participate in trials for new formulations or process changes.
- Suggest innovations to reduce cost and improve product consistency
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly production reports and performance KPIs.
- Maintain accurate batch records and operational logbook
Profil
- 8+yrs experience with Spray Dried Dispersion, ideally with PSD4
- 5+yrs experience team management
- Technical training in industrial production, chemical processes, industrial pharmacy or equivalent.
- Familiarity with process control systems (PLC/SCADA)
- Knowledge of GMP rules and safety practices in production.
- Proven, hands-on management experience
- Rigor, sense of organization, analytical spirit and results oriented.
- Good communication and ability to coordinate with multiple departments, including ability to communicate with management about production issues and achievements.
- Fluency in both French and English is a must
