What works well?
I was employed at Aeschbach Shoes (offices) for about 8 years. From my experience the managers are quite understanding and leave quite a lot of freedom in the way they handle their work, they don't put pressure and trust enough.
What could be improved?
To the accounting department: - The IT infrastructure is in poor condition with computers still running Windows XP and completely broken. (news of December 2019) - Potential measures proposed to greatly increase the speed of execution of certain tasks are not taken into consideration. (e.g. at the end of 2019 roller calculators were still in use). - Different departments are not treated in the same way. Some departments do not receive any funding to improve their infrastructure, while others... do! This means that there are huge differences between departments in terms of the equipment available to work with. - Human Resources is not listening at all and does not want to get involved in employee problems when they could be expected to help resolve them. - Career opportunities are also nil. If you have been hired to a particular position, you will remain in that position until you retire/dismissal. Overall the benefits are lower, also in terms of salary. It is paid rather in the "medium-low" category of the range and increases are unfortunately made at the slingshot (there is no 13th salary).
