For our new Plant in Amarante, near Oporto, Portugal, we are looking for an Strategic Buyer to locally (Portugal & Spain) develop our network of suppliers for connectors (metal & plastic), cables and electronics. also globally implement the purchasing strategy during the development of new products by R&D teams in Europe (Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, France, UK, Italy). will also contribute by defining, developing, and maintaining the analysis & reporting tools of the purchasing department.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE:

Supplier Management

Identify & recommend best-in class vendors thanks to benchmarks (technology, lead time, quality, cost)

Lead the qualification of new vendors according to Conextivity standards

Evaluate vendor capabilities, performance and risks and recommend mitigation actions

Negotiate contracts of supply with vendors

Project Buyer

Lead procurement activities for specific projects, collaborating with international & cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals and global purchasing strategy

Build strong relationships with vendors, share new technological trends with design teams and organize design reviews

Purchasing Analyst

Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.

Generate regular reports and present findings to management, providing insights to enhance decision-making.

THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING

  • Master’s degree in Purchasing or Engineering
  • 5+ year working with international suppliers for several of the following commodities: metal parts, plastic parts, surface treatment / coating, electronics, cables,
  • 5+ year in a similar position within an international company specialized in microtechnology (preferred), automotive or aerospace industry
  • English : full proficiency, minimum C1, French is a plus
  • SAP : 5+ year working on a daily basis for procurement processes, managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records
  • Excel : proficiency required, particularly in using Power Query for efficient data extraction and manipulation.
  • Power BI : proficiency required, for data visualization and reporting, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights.
