Visiting Teacher of Violin and Director of School Orchestra

GES is an academically successful British international school. The Primary campus is located in beautiful grounds in Genthod. The Secondary campus is located in Versoix and easily accessible by public transport. We offer a friendly staff and a welcoming parent and student community.
To complete our multidisciplinary and international team in a privileged educational environment based on the Primary campus in Genthod, The Geneva English School is looking for a part-time violin teacher as of the beginning of the school year 2023 for students aged 5 to 11 years.
Profile required

You must have an independent worker status as confirmed by the AVS or its equivalent in neighbouring France

Availability to give weekly violin lessons

Availability to direct the weekly school orchestra

Approximately 15 weeks of whole class violin teaching in the school year (about 2 hours per week)

University Diploma or equivalent

Specialisation in the performance of its instrument and its pedagogy

Music degree and teaching experience within a school or conservatory are necessary

Proficiency in English with the ability to speak French an advantage

Strong affinity to working with students and open to collaborations with colleagues

Organising and attending student concerts

Enthusiastic, flexible, team player
