Well-established financial institution based in Geneva. The Geneva office of this private banking group, offers a busy, collegial and small, close-knit team atmosphere, specialising on emerging markets. Their very centrally-located Geneva office is well-established and successful on these markets and busy developing new ones. As a dynamic, experienced private banking assistant, you can look forward to working in an entrepreneurial, meritocratic environment where you can be visible. A super General Manager at the helm who really looks after his staff. You will have opportunity to work on interesting projects and with a wide range of "assistant(e) de gestion" tasks, for this temporary mission to start ASAP
Private Banking Assistant - Emerging Markets
Position:
Are you a banking assistant speaking Russian and based in Geneva working on the CEE desk today, for example, for a private bank? Are you looking for a change and free to start something new? This is the chance for a broader role in a more human-sized organisation, with a variety of different country coverage. The role is temporary for at least 6 months and may be extended.
As first point of contact for the clients, you will be supporting a busy, small team of senior relationship managers.
Your role will include the following elements:
- Supporting the relationship managers in all aspects of client service and administrative tasks in a responsible and independent way
- Entering the orders, passing the trades (Avaloq) - futures, options, bonds, equities, subscriptions, fiduciary deposits etc
- Liaising with the central functions at the headquarters (Credit, Tax, Legal & Compliance, Client Master Files etc.)
- Preparing business trips and client meetings
- Processing client payments, stock exchange orders and any other transactions efficiently and swiftly in close collaboration with their headquarters
- Preparing the opening of bank accounts and ensuring excellent quality of all required documents
- Also assisting in the running of this small office - ordering supplies and liaising with local suppliers
- Ensuring adherence to all external and internal policies and regulations within the team
Profile:
- Minimum 3 years'+ relevant work experience as a private banking assistant/assistant(e) de gestion on the CIS, CEE, Central Asia or Balkans desk from a private bank in Switzerland a must
- Fluent in English and Russian - both languages a must. Some French at least is also important
- You are experienced with an international clientele and understand the culture of these countries ideally
- A proactive, independent and highly reliable person who enjoys being part of a small team
- Someone who is flexible - able to deal with trading orders (a must), welcoming clients and having a lot of contact with them, as well as doing the more menial tasks in helping to run the office
- An open minded, uncomplicated and multicultural person who is "roll up sleeves and muck in" type who can work under pressure
- An ethical person with the right "attitude", who takes pride in their work
- You are accurate, with good attention to detail, as well as at ease in a small structure
- Avaloq experience a strong plus but not a must , as well as good MS office skills
- A Swiss national or already in possession of a C permit preferred
- Available to start quickly, preferred, for this rewarding temporary contract which can be at 80-100% - office hours are 09.00-18.30
